This 1973 view above is looking SW towards the rear part of the park. You can see the Pirate Island on the right rear corner, then moving left would be the short-lived Indian Thicket section, and over to Country Crossroads where you can notice the Harmony Hall building. More obvious are the Goldrusher, Cable Skyway, and Sternwheeler rides. Plans for a Star Trek themed "Flying Coaster" were announced on August 21, 2003 and the island had to be leveled in preparation for the the new ride. Sadly, the parks beloved Carolina Queen Sternwheeler was removed to make room for this attraction.
