The view on the left is looking west from the Skytower in 1973. The wooded area would later be transformed to the Rip Roarin' Rapids ride in 1982 which is barely visible in the 2009 photo on the right. This area is currently the most heavily wooded section of the park as noted in these aerial views. The Kaleidoscope ride is also clearly visible in both photos. It is also one of the last 3 original rides left in the park. Some of the original buildings also appear to be intact although slightly modified.
