The Carolina Sternwheeler was an impressive paddle boat that docked in Plantation Square. This relaxing trip for up to 400 passengers would take you by each of the park's 7 themed areas. Music was provided on board by the Dixieland Band. The water in the lagoon was only 6 feet deep and the boat traveled on a rail beneath the water. Sadly, the Sternwheeler was removed after the 2003 season for the additon of a new flying coaster named Nighthawk (formerly known as BORG Assimilator, a Star Trek themed coaster).
